Our Team
Meng Bunlay
Director/Migration Consultant
Meng Bunlay completed his Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice from the prestigious Australian National University. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Computing) degree from Monash University, Victoria, Australia.
He obtained his registration with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) with registration Number (MARN) 1794554. He is also a member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA).
Before obtaining his MARA Registration, Meng worked part-time for several years as a community consultant for Tak & Associates, a legal and migration agents firm. He also worked as an Electorate Officer and adviser to the Honourable Simon Crean, former Federal Member of Parliament (2006 – September 2013).
During this time, Meng gained extensive experience in liaising with various government departments and community organisations. He provided constituents with assistance relating to immigration, grant applications and other government services.
Mr. Meng Bunlay is also well known within the Cambodian community in the South-Eastern region of Melbourne. He has held several community positions including the Secretary of the Cambodian Buddhist Association of Victoria for 14 years (2000 -2014). He is currently serving as a senior advisor to the organisation, a post he has held since 2014. He is currently the Secretary for the Cambodian Australian Federation, Inc.
Angela Chea
Office Manager
Angela Chea has an extensive experience of 6 years, working as a legal clerk for Tak & Associates. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree (Specialising in the English Language) from Norton University, Cambodia. She also holds Certificate III in Accounting from Holmesglen Institute, Victoria, Australia.
Seav My Try
Account Manager and Admin Executive
Seav Mey has 5 years of experience working as a Law Clerk at Tak & Associates. She has handled various types of visa applications and successfully overseen different types of complicated cases. She has also assisted Mr. Meng Heang Tak (Tak & Associate Principal) in several tribunal court cases for clients.
An organised individual with an eye for detail, Seav goes the extra mile to ensure bullet-proof applications that guarantee the best outcome for clients. Rest assured that your case is in the best hands and all your paperwork is in order and lodged on a timely basis.
Sowell Chan
Legal Assistant
Sowell Chan is a Juris Doctor candidate for class 2023 at La Trobe University. She is our newest recruit who handles administrative and legal tasks around the firm. She takes pride in doing her work thoroughly and timely. During her free time, she enjoys ticking off books from her sci-fi list while jamming to 2000’s rock music.
